Gypsy

I'm gonna freakin' hate Christmas this year!!!!!!!! Gypsy has been breathing rapidly as I mentioned before. It hadn't gotten any better or worse over the past few days and last night I prayed that she would make it until after Christmas so she could have one more Christmas with us. Well this morning I went to check on her. She was breathing heavily and whimpering so I went down to my dad's office and asked when she had an asperin last. My dad said he couldn't get her to eat so I said I'd try since she ate when I fed her yesterday. I tried this morning but she wouldn't eat or drink anything. I just sat in there and pet her head gently because I could tell she was in pain. She seemed to be doing worse by the minute and looked even skinnier. I told Luke about her and asked what he thought we should do. He said putting her to sleep would be the best option because she wouldn't be in any more pain. I agreed reluctantly because I really do love and care for her and I knew that would be best. My parents came home and we came to an agreement that they would take her in....so yes people Gypsy was put to sleep this afternoon.

Sam came over and helped get my mind off it. Then She, Bethany, Brittney, & I went out to Steve & Barry's. It was soooo much fun and a day I will never forget.

But right now I'm thinkin' of Gypsy so I better go. And yes screw Christmas this year.....I don't want it to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R.I.P. Gypsy Rose Robertson I miss you baby dog =[

Something's wrong with Gypsy =[

Early this morning I went to get a bottle of water from the garage. I noticed Gypsy had a big mess in the laundry room (where she sleeps) so I cleaned that up and cleaned her off. She started breathing rapidly and every time she breathes there's a wimper along with it. I know she's 16 and that's the lifespan of a dachshund, but I'm not ready for anything to happen to her - It's a scary thought of her not being here anymore. Even tho she's a dog I tell her everything I can't tell other people. So I hope she at least makes it for Christmas.

Edit:
I was looking up some information on the internet about dogs and rapid breathing. I found part of an article and here's what it says:
"Rapid breathing generally means one of two things: Your pet is in pain, or she isn't getting enough oxygen," says A. David Scheele, D.V.M., a veterinarian in private practice in Midland, Texas. It is not always easy to tell when -- or where -- your pet is hurting, adds Robert L. Rooks, D.V.M., a veterinarian in private practice in Fountain Valley, California. Dogs and cats are much more stoic than people are. One reason that they cope with pain by taking rapid breaths rather than crying out may be that their ancestors attacked comrades that showed weakness. It is worth taking a few minutes to check your pet for injuries or other problems that might be causing pain."
Gypsy has a hernia on her tummy so I'm thiniking that is what it bothering her. I looked up information about hernias in dogs and here is what I found:
Dog hernias can by detected when you notice a lump around the area of the umbilical cord, the groin, or another part of the womb; if you press on it softly, and it disappears, but immediately reappears; you can almost certainly say it is a hernia. Umbilical hernias are especially frequent. Lumps that reach the size of a hazelnut can simply be an esthetic problem or defect. Nevertheless, the situation worsens when the sack of the hernia contains part of the guts. If the guts were to strangle, there is a big risk of death; according to an old rule, it should be operated before the sun goes down. Important: Any and all dog hernias must be thoroughly examined by the veterinarian!

Gypsy is 16 and a half now and usually the lifespan of a dachshund is 16....so when i read that there is a big risk of death if the guts strangle I'm thinking that is what's happening and she's hurtin from it. I really don't want her to be in pain now.

Bethany's 21st

Bethany's 21st was on Sunday. We went out to Olive Garden Saturday night with some of her Bethel friends. Carrie & Angela ended up leaving right after dinner cause they had school stuff to work on so Bethany, Lauren, & I went to Krogers so Lauren could get something for the Potluck she was going to on Sunday.
We dropped Lauren off after Krogers and then Bethany & I went to Mejers before heading home.Sunday night Bethany & I went to AppleBees for dinner; she ordered a MudSlide and I ordered a Pina Colada (those are the best). I gave her the present I bought and then she had to work on homework. So overall it was an okay weekend. ( left to right - Angela, Carrie, Bethany, Lauren, & Me)

We got to see Jon

I haven't written in a while so I think it's time for an update.
Last Friday Bethany and I got to hang out with Jon Maki. It was pretty fun - we ended up meeting at Panera Bread and talking while we were there. After dinner we decided to see if there was anything good playing at the dollar theatre but instead ended up going to the house where he was house-sitting.
We stayed there until 10:30 because Jon started getting tired. After hanging out with Jon, Bethany and I went to Wal-Mart and talked the whole way there about life, school, and other stuff that we needed to get off our chests.
All in all it was a fun night and I'm glad I got to hang out with Jon....too bad Steph wasn't there to hang out too.

Lunch with the Minelli's and Dunes

My highlight of the day was being able to meet up with mom, dad, and Mr. & Mrs. Minelli for lunch at Applebees. My dad took a picture of my mom, mrs. minelli, and me outside after lunch. I think Mr. Minelli took some also so I'll have to post those if he sends them our way.

Family meeting and Kayla's Confirmation

We had a family meeting yesterday afternoon. Usually when we have family meetings they are about things like we need to work together to keep the house clean, or that Luke and I need to clean the upstairs area more. But the news they told us was nothing Luke and I expected. I can't say it right now but all I can say is it's something life-changing. Who knows how it will turn out but I'm hoping all will be okay. Please pray for my family.

Anyway, here are pictures from Kayla's Confirmation. She looked so pretty =]

Visit to see Marisa

I had fun this weekend.
Thursday night I went over to the Ginther's house. Jonathan, Bethany, me, and Mary watched most of Chicago but ended up turning it off because Bethany was tired. Besides...Mary, me, and Jonathan had already seen it so we were okay with not watching the rest of it.
Friday I just relaxed during the day and then Luke and I went out for a while and came back home to watch new episodes of Family Guy.
On Saturday I ended up taking Mary to work around 3:30. Bethany came 10 minutes later and we ended up getting home around 4:50. I went to church with my parents. While I was there I saw 3 of my former teachers from STS - Mrs. Pianowski, Ms. Bremigan, and Mrs. Keller.
Then after mass I went to meet up with Bethany, Mary, and Pat at Hacienda. It was crazy times as usual. So I'm home still if anyone wants to do anything. I'm going back to the apartment after our Easter celebration. Have a good Holy Week everyone!!!!!

Marisa is here

So my mom called me last night at around 10 to tell me that my cousin Amber had the baby. I'm so happy for them! My aunt and uncle sent me picturs of Amber, Chris, and the baby.
The baby's name is Marisa Drake Stormer. At first I didn't care for the middle name but after hearing the story behind it I think it's a good name. The name Drake was Amber's friends middle name. Amber's friend was a bridesmaid in her wedding and the girl drowned a few months ago. Amber cousin decided to have that as the middle name of her daughter.

Here are the pictures:

I love this one. It looks like Marisa is smiling

March for Life

I was reading the bulletin for St. Pius online and it mentioned that Fr. Dan is in Washington D.C. for the 33rd Annual March for Life. As I'm watching it on EWTN right now, I remember when my family went. I was a sophomore in high school; my brother, my dad, me, and my mom went to go and it was such an awesome experience!
I'm so proud of all those who are there now - it's wonderful to see all the young people -my prayers are with them as well as the victims of Abortion.

Life is Sacred from the moment of conception until the moment of natural death. Abortion is WRONG!!!!!!!!!!
