Memorial Day

I had an interesting day yesterday. It started off going with my parents to support my Dad in the 5k run at the Great Race.

After that I went to the Memorial Day Mass and met up with Ruth there. Ellen and Ester were also at Mass and talked to us afterwards. The 4 of us ended up going to Bravo Cafe for breakfast. Then Ruth and I did some errands and came back to Queen of Peace to see if it was open (we tried getting into St. Joe Mishawaka but it was locked) and it was. We prayed for a while and then Ruth had her laptop so we listend to a few hymns on there and watched Fr. Bob & Fr. Dan's talks from a while back that are posted on GodTube.

Ruth called Carol to see if someone was coming to lock the Church up at 7 and she had said it was supposed to be locked today. Father Dan apparently forgot because he left shortly after Mass in the morning. We took care of locking the place up and waited for Mike to come and put the key back up and take care of a few things at the Church.

I ended up taking some pictures inside while we were there.

New tabernacle and alter of repose

A look of sadness and love

These 3 pictures are of the stained glass window up front of the 12 apostles (I couldn't get it all in one shot)

Confessional

This picture was on the wall on the outside of the confessional (not where the statue of Jesus is but the side you can't see).
